Lincoln a Must See!

As the civil war rages on, the divided nation’s President wants to stop slavery. However, the only way he can is by doing two things: Pass the thirteenth amendment to the US Constitution, (also known as The Emancipation Proclamation), and claim the slaves as property seized through war (thereby setting them free.) But, the war is coming to a halt before long, so Lincoln is faced with a harsh decision; Stop the war and give up the hope of abolishing slavery, or battle on to become a free nation?

Sandpoint, Idaho Shooting

What is this world coming to? How can we change? Recently, on Wednesday, February 6th, 2013 at 5pm in Sandpoint Idaho we had a shooting across from Super 1 foods. The police responded to the shooting at 6pm. Two men in their early 30's were fighting. Anthony Viola, 35 took out his gun and shot the other unknown man in the arm. The man who got shot in the arm was treated in the hospital, as Anthony Viola had shot himself and is now deceased. Police say that both Alberto Tuinzing and Anthony Viola were related through marriage.

Abused Computer Labs

Why can't we take care of our computer labs? What were some abused situations? Computer labs are used for education, not to have fun and destroy them. Recently we had a situation where some pencils were stuck on the ceiling in the south computer lab. Why? Well because, people don't know what they're doing, and if they keep it up, we might not have computer labs anymore.

Steampunk it up!!!

What is steampunk? Steampunk is a mix between Victorian and mechanical gears and metallic pieces. Lucinda Burley 7th grader said “I absolutely love steampunk!” On March 7th 2013 Forrest Bird Charter School hosted a steampunk day where students in both charter schools can dress up in steampunk attire for the school day.
